There is no single framework that helps shape a successful product. Through real life examples of his own experience, Dave Sifry (the founder and Chairman of Technorati—the largest blog search engine in the world) will open up his own folder of lessons learned in online product development. He will share with us:

  • Top 5 things you'd always do again and never do again based on Technorati
  • Describe your design process for building Technorati. How is Offbeat Guides different?
  • Everyone wants to "go viral." How important is that to a successful site?
  • What makes or breaks a great web product?
  • When *not* to introduce features to a product

About Dave: Dave Sifry is an entrepreneur and blogospehere icon with over 20 years experience and five companies under his belt. His latest startup is Offbeat Guides which he describes as "making absurdly simple personalized travel guides for over 30,000 destinations around the world". Prior to Technorati he was a co-founder and the CTO of Sputnik where he directed the engineering of all Sputnik products, including its new WiFi security and management products. Prior to Sputnik, he was a Vice President of Engineering at Linuxcare, Inc, where he built Linuxcare’s services infrastructure.
