I've been on a roll with lists, so I'll continue this blog post with the same format. The experience of 75 start-ups has taught me a few lessons about starting great companies. The internet provides an awesome opportunity to create businesses, but it's also a trap for eager entrepreneurs that try to build the next *big* thing.

Here are 16 ideas an entrepreneur can use to get a successful web business to market faster. There's a lot more that could be written for each idea, but I'll let these ideas brew over the coming weeks before elaborating on each point.
Do you have another insight or thought?
When you say "it's all about momentum," you're talking about a really important concept: getting parts of your business out in front of potential customers early and often. I can read that between the lines of most of these bullet points.
The key is to start that feedback loop, isn't it? It gives you the best chance to find out what really matters to people and adjust your efforts to it.
Nothing further, just concuring.
Know who to listen to: Remember that he who speaks the loudest may not be the smartest. Make sure to vet out what you're hearing from customers, your team, everyone.
This is my first time to your site and I'm already intrigued... and inspired! Thanks for the list -- as an inherently entrepreneurally-minded young person (ah, both a blessing and a curse) it's exactly what I needed to read.
Virginia, it's great to have you reading the blog. Don't hesitate to throw your ideas into the mix.
One important ingredient is to "make meaning". I believe this to be fundamental in choosing one of those ideas. And I do agree that ideas are a dime a dozen and not to be greedy with them.
"If you make meaning, you will probably make money. But if you set out to make money, you certainly won’t make meaning and you probably won’t make money." - Guy Kawasaki
The other bit I'd like to add is to just get started. You'll never know if you never try.
Great post. Cheers.
I enjoyed reading your blog on starting an internet business. I have a question..I created a blog template in PhotoShop, and would like to use it on my web page. How can i get the blog template to work on my web page...Could I use Dreamweaver or Word Press to complete my objective. Please get back to me.. Thank You, Joshua Scott
Thank you very much, very nice to read!
