Business Development Job
ZURB (www.zurb.com/talent) is looking for a Instigator to work on our design interaction and strategy team. We need someone with a strong grasp of the web and tech industries who can take charge of lead generation and acquisition at ZURB. Previous sales and marketing experience is a must, and our ideal candidate will be able to quickly learn about all of ZURB's products, services as well as our process.
The position will entail finding new companies and start-ups who need ZURB products and services, keeping our work pipeline full and getting ZURB's name out there.
We’re a close-knit team that helps companies design better websites, services, and products online. We’ve been around over 10 years and have over 75 start-ups in our client roster. Our clients range from large, well-known companies that we’ve helped for years (e.g., Photobucket, Facebook, Zazzle, Playlist.com, the New York Stock Exchange) to brand-new start-ups just finding their feet (Qik, TinyPic). They all came to us based on our reputation of delivering killer ideas that work.
What does a ZURB Instigator do?
As an Instigator, here are some of the responsibilities you'll have:
- Lead generation
- Understanding ZURB's process and services extensively
- Reaching out to leads and fleshing out opportunities
- Finding opportunity for more work from our current and former clients
- Creating opportunity documents for potential projects
- Creating contracts
- Negotiating contract terms with existing and potential clients
- Maintaining opportunities and pipeline
- Managing deal flow
What skills do we need?
As an Instigator, here are some of the skills you'll need to have:
- 5 years experience
- Solid knowledge of the web and tech industries
- Experience with service-based sales
- Quick learner
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Web savvy
- Knowledge of interaction design a plus
- Confident building good business relationships
This position is available immediately, pays base + commission and is full-time. You'll be working in our offices in downtown Campbell, where we have parking spaces, a Wii and a good attitude.
