Places to see and things to eat in Santa Cruz
(From a coupla kids who've been here almost a decade since college.)
Downtown
- El Palomar - the fish tacos are simple and best in town. Corn tortillas are made fresh on the spot.
- Shogun - best sushi in town. Chefs have character. Good service.
- Mobo Sushi - second best sushi. A little more character, lively, Santa Cruz swagger.
Seabright
- Engfer Pizza Works - wood fired oven, grab beer right from the fridge, good wine, great pizza, and ping pong (if you can get the table)
- Linda's Seabreeze Cafe - best breakfasts. Only downside, it can be hard to get it.
Checkout some recent photos of wave breaks and driftwood sculptures.
I'm just getting started on this here WED, Jan 25. If you need a quick recommendation, just fire me an email and ask.
