The ZURBwired plans are in full swing now, and we're happy to announce that open submissions for nonprofits are running now through March 18th! All nonprofits interested in participating in ZURBwired have from today until March 18th at midnight to submit their interest to the team at wired@zurb.com. What is ZURBwired? Siming Wong and Brice McGowen work on the menu template. ZURBwired is a 24-hour design collaboration, hosted annually by ZURB, where we complete a marketing effort for one lucky nonprofit. What will we get done in 24 hours?

The bulk of our work on April 9 will done helping Pie Ranch come up with a theme, menu, web presence and all the necessary collateral to host their largest farm event ever. The Pie Ranch team is already visualizing a long dinner table in the field that can seat hundreds of people and be filled with the bounty of a late summer harvest.

We'll also be helping them develop collateral for their Reach for the Pie! campaign. Currently, Pie Ranch sits on 14 acres above the historic Issac Steele Ranch. Their Reach for the Pie! campaign is a capital campaign to raise the $1.25 million necessary to buy the historic farm and homestead, which is being protected from development by the Peninsula Open Space Trust until then end of this year, at which point Pie Ranch hopes to have raised the money to buy the land.

See Pie Ranch's original proposal here. It's crazy, but as our last ZURBwired showed, it's exhilarating and creates results real fast.
