Taking the real pieces of inspiration that were brought in and capturing those for the website takes work.

The Invitation Is Complete

17 Hours Remaining

Time to send the final InDesign file to the printers. Vandalized fiber optic lines in the South Bay meant no internet — our designs had to be driven down to Morgan Hill & handed over personally.

Bringing the Hammer Down

As the print deadlines draw nearer, the team works to get everything done on time. Adding to the chaos is the vandalism of 10 fiber optic lines, causing massive phone & internet outages in 3 counties, and requiring the team to physically drive the InDesign files to Morgan Hill to be printed.

We're Finished

The event was a great success for all those involved. We started the day with some ideas and some goals. We ended it with a brand new website for Pie Ranch, totally slick donation packet materials, thank you cards, Twitter and Facebook presences, as well as invitations, menu templates, and posters for the first-ever Dinner with Adelaide.

The dinner, which was hosted in August 2009, went on to raise $22,000 in donations above and beyond ticket sales. To visit the new website, visit www.pieranch.org.

Wrapping It Up

The day comes to a close with some tired, but happy faces. 24 hours, 27 volunteers & 1 chicken have made it an event to remember.
